Fantasy Cricket League 2008
The 2008 cricket season has finally arrived with everything to play for, in what promises to be a season crammed full of red-hot cricketing action!
The H&S Fantasy Cricket will bring some added excitement to each and every game, be it 1st XI or 2nd XI.
Every run, wicket, catch, stumping and even appearance on the field is crucial!
With some great prizes at stake, here's the chance to claim the bragging rights amongst fellow club members as well as generating some much-need funds for your club.

2008 Fantasy Cricket Rules
- Each team must consist of 5 batsmen, 2 all-rounders, 1 keeper, and 3 bowlers.
- Your team must not exceed £40 million in value.
- You must nominate a “Star Player” whose points score will be doubled throughout the course of the season.
- Your team must contain at least 4 players from the 2nd XI list.
- Each team costs £5 to enter, and you may enter as many teams as you wish.
- Points are only scored for League Games, in both the 1st and 2nd XI.
2008 Fantasy Cricket Prizes:
There are prizes up for grabs should you or your team be successful:
- “Fantasy Manager of the Year” award of £50 for whoever has the most successful team over the course of the season.
- “Manager of the Month” awards of £10 each for May, June, July and August.
- “Fantasy Player of the Year” Trophy for the player who scored the most fantasy points over the course of the season.
2008 Fantasy Cricket Scoring System:
General:
Bowlers:
- - 1 point per run conceded
- + 30 points for every wicket taken
- + 50 points for 5 wicket haul
Fielders:
- + 20 for every catch taken
Batsmen:
- + 1 point per run scored
- + 25 points for reaching 50
- + 50 points for reaching 100
Wicket-keepers:
- + 20 for every catch taken
- + 20 for every stumping
